The Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro can be considered to be one of the best smartphones in the market and has the capability to compete with any other high end mobile. It has a full QWERTY keyboard that slides open and in a generation of smartphones which only rely on touchscreens and virtual keyboards, this one will surely impress the ones who are looking for a physical keyboard.
Operating with a Symbian S60 5th Edition operating system, the Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro has a 720 MHz processor which ensures good performance. Equipped with an internal memory space of 75 GB, it can be further extended to another 16GB with micro SD cards. Certain pre-installed applications are also available with this device. Voice guided GPS navigation is possible with the WisePilot, whereas contacts, mails and calendars can be synchronized with the RoadSync application.
The QWERTY keyboard of the Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro is quite brilliant and has well spaced out keys for facilitating fingers of all kinds. Navigation is also eased with the numerous hardware buttons provided in the set. Features like the camera and camcorder can be easily accessed with the hardware buttons. However, the resistive touchscreen seems to be a disappointment in an era where capacitive touchscreens rule the market. Overall, this smartphone has a sleek and curvy look with a solid build.
As a multimedia device, the Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro is amazing. The 5 mega pixel camera takes wonderful pictures and the 720p video shots with the phone are too good. Although DivX and XviD videos cannot be viewed with the phone, it allows conversion and transfer of videos with its MediaGo software. The music playback quality is also excellent. The default Symbian browser though is quite good at opening web pages and browsing the internet, it does not support features like multiple-tabs. The battery lasts longer than others and this truly adds to the phones positive points.
